The Story of a Master Tailor
60 years of experience in haute couture
Armando Rubino at the age of 13 leaves Sicily for Rome, to fulfil his dream of becoming a Master Tailor. He starts working at the prestigious Zenobi tailor shop, in via dei Condotti. At 24 he finally opens his shop and immediately collaborats with some important brands, including Battistoni, with whom he maintained a relationship for 35 years. His are the hand made suits of important directors, actors, and showmen from the world of cinema and entertainment.

HOW A TAILORED JACKET IS BORN
EVERY SUIT IS A UNIQUE PIECE
From the choice of the fabric with the customer, to the drawing of the model with chalk. From the basting that gives the first shape to the tailored suit, to the meticulous steps to create the neck and pockets, entirely hand-finished. Up to the last touches, to fit the sleeves, the inner lining and the buttonholes.

AN ANCIENT TAILOR SHOP IN THE HEART OF ROME
Sartoria Rubino is located in via Frattina 104, in the beating heart of Rome, between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo. In this elegant street where luxury boutiques follow one another, an ancient wooden door leads to Armando's tailor shop. Armando has been based there since 50 years and is now a reference point for haute couture in the capital.
